Last edited: Aug 17, JFBAug 17, Aug 18, 2. As I recall, on a Superposed, the forearm wood is not supposed to come clear off of the barrels, except for repairs, etc.

But I could be wrong. I never could afford a Browning Superposed to find out!! Aug 18, 3. Aug 18, 4. Thanks, all I can say about having the Browning is "I must have been making a lot of overtime back then" I didn't recall the cross screw in the side of the forearm as shown in figure 4.
I have already put the gun back in storage, but I just went back and verified mine does not have that. I didn't want to take it out of the rack, but next time I'll look and see if there might be a screw head in the finger recease for the take down lever so that the wood is remove from the latching mechinism.
Oh well. JFBAug 18, Aug 18, 5. When that happens, have your executor call me first??? Aug 19, 6. I notices some pics in magazines and catologs and they all show that screw.Patu rhodesia

My father left me some guns when he passed away almost three years ago. My wife and I want to sell them and give the money to our children. I still hunt but they don't. Our oldest son is getting married soon and the money would help him retire some of his medical school debt. Anyway, one of the guns is a Browning Superposed with serial Browning site indicates the gun was manufactured in in Belgium.
I will attach pictures. This serial number is taken from the original receipt for this gun which my father bought in just before he retired as a Special Agent with the FBI after 30 years. I'm also attaching pictures of this gun too including the case it came in. As you can see from the pictures my father and I have maintained the guns well over the years.
The Browning is kept in an oil sock. Respectfully, Ralph Felts, Jr. Bemidji, MN. Ralph FeltsAug 16, Aug 17, 2. Joined: Mar 15, Messages: I believe your Browning to be a standard grade 1 12ga shotgun and the manufacture year you listed is in line with what the Blue Book shows.
Your revolver is a model and I did find some information listed in the Standard Catalog of Smith and Wesson Firearms.
The Texas Ranger Commemorative was produced in with 8, sets being sold with a Bowie knife and 1, sets with just the wood case. The serial numbers ranged from T1 - T10, so your number would be somewhere along the middle.Club 57 nickelodeon capitulo 1 completo
With yours not having the knife, though there were less produced that way, would likely have a negative impact on the price.
A safe bet would be to value it as a standard with a modest premium for a fancy wood case. Below I am going to provide photos taken from the 34th edition of the Blue Book of Gun Values for your consideration. RoanokerAug 17, Ralph Felts likes this. Aug 17, 3. I inherited a browning Superposed with a set of Supertubes from my dad when he passed away last January.
I was trying to look the gun up to determine the grade but ran into some confusion and was hoping anyone could help me out with it. From what I can figure out the shotgun was produced aroundThe scroll work on the receiver is customary to the Grade 1 however from what I can find the receiver on a grade 1 is blued, This receiver is silver in color.
I cant find any reference to a grade 1 with anything other than the blued receiver. The serial number on the gun is S4 The chart on the Browning website is a little confusing also. I can find what the S means 12ga but I cant determine what the 4 means. Does anyone know if the Grade 1 came with the silver colored receiver or am I wrong in determining that it is a grade 1.Cnn image classification keras github

Posted: Thu Jan 13, pm. My Standard Super has a serial ending in S3. I would guess your S4 was made in Might not have been sold to your Dad until ,and just might have been nickeled or chromed at the same time that the Supertubes were added.
A Super should have a round knob, long bottom tang, and a "Y" upper tang, except the Broadways were all flat knobs, and it's bad to ever say anything is certain about these things for certain. Posted: Fri Jan 14, am. Hi Bluesteel63, Yes going by your serial your B25 is a S means 12g and the last digit is the year of after they put the whole two digits of the year after the S see chart below.
Polished frame: it may have been like before mentioned that it was polished if sent back to browningor even polished by your father at some time.
It may even have been special order. Serial Number beginning with at the start of each year. I highly doubt anybody polished the bluing off the receiver. I'm guessing you have a Pigeon Grade. Jig is correct if the scrollwork on the receiver has engraved pigeons, and is not actually "customary to a Grade One". To put it another way,a Grade One usually has quite a bit of scroll enrgraving by ,but I've never heard or seen of a factory Grade One with any game scenes.
Posted: Fri Jan 14, pm. I put the pics in the Browning photo album on here. Couldnt figure out how to add them to the reply itself. I found a Superposed ID card in the case the gun and tubes come in. My dad was not the original owner. I'm pretty sure it is not a Pigeon grade the scroll work is the same work I see on the Grade I.
I hope the pictures allow you to see the gun decent enough. It has gone through many configurations in the years and is currently still in production through the Browning International Custom Shop.
